Dirty Dancing meets post punk park vibes in Yukon Era’s latest music video for Knife Skies.
Sounding eerily vintage yet fresh, the track and video embody the band’s indie DIY approach with both catchy melodies and discordant vocals. It is not a sound a million miles away from the riffs that come out of teenage bands’ bedrooms, but has an underlying depth many more mature bands fail to possess. The track is charming and charismatic with an uneasy undertone that suggests there is a lot more to come from the upcoming debut album scheduled for release early next year. The choreographed video is well worth a watch too, and makes it clear that Yukon Era are a band that anyone would struggle to label, or put in a corner.
